Lorry Volunteers
ARE YOU CONFIDENT, APPROACHABLE AND HAVE A FEW HOURS TO SPARE EACH WEEK?
We need volunteers on our new health hub lorry at various locations across North Wales as well as new team members for our establish South West Wales lorry.
Volunteering on the lorry includes talking to farmers and encouraging them to come onboard the lorry for a free health check. It can also include making cups of tea and making the people who come on the lorry feel welcome.
We usually ask for a few hours during the week on a market day (usually from around 10am-2:30pm). We will also need help at some of the agricultural shows through the summer which sometimes take place on weekends.
We are also looking for people to drive our North Wales lorry to help us get it from A to B. You need to either hold an HGV licence or have passed your driving test before 1 January 1997.
Registered Nurses
We also require the services of a small number of Registered Nurses who are able to carry out basic health checks on our behalf in North Wales. This would suit someone who has some spare hours, that would fit alongside another role. You will need to have an RCN membership and your own indemnity insurance (through your membership or otherwise). You also will need to be comfortable having conversations with people about emotionally sensitive topics (we can arrange further training on this) including potentially about suicide and working in a livestock market environment.
