At the DPJ Foundation, we are part of the Welsh farming community.  We are now in a position to expand our small staff team with some roles to help increase our effectiveness.

We are pleased to be in a position to expand our team and are looking for two additional people to join us:

  • One role is to cover the maternity leave of our Marketing, Engagement and Administrative Assistant.  This is a role with a heavy focus on social media and PR so the ability to work in Welsh is essential as our social media is billingual.

Job Description Marketing and Engagement (Maternity Cover)

  • The second is a new part time role to support the running of the DPJ Foundation as a Team Co-ordinator, based in our Carmarthen Office.  Again the ability to work in Welsh will be essential as we receive and respond to correspondence in both English and Welsh.

Are you enthusiastic, flexible and motivated and skilled at social media?

The role of covering the Maternity Leave of our Marketing, Engagement and Administrative Assistant may be for you if so.  You will need experience of using social media to influence and promote and will be able to bring this experience to the role to help us engage with our audiences across all our social media platforms.  You will work with colleagues to develop and deliver marketing and communications strategies and content that reflect the aims and ethos of the DPJ Foundation.  This role is home based or can be undertaken from our office spaces in Carmarthen or Anglesey.

Some of the main duties will include:

  • Content creation for social media.
  • Drafting press releases and liaising with PR contacts.
  • Maintaining and developing the DPJ Foundation website.
  • Working with volunteers to create content for social media.
  • Working closely with other team members to promote the work for the charity.
  • Attending events to represent the charity as required.
  • General Administrative tasks.

You must be:

  • Willing to become part of the DPJ Foundation team and passionate about getting across our messages.
  • Passionate about improving mental health in rural communities and driven to get more people accessing help when they need it.
  • Experienced in using a variety of social media platforms to convey messaging.
  • A fluent Welsh speaker who can read and write in Welsh.
  • Able to prioritise your workload and work to meet tight deadlines.
  • An excellent team worker who can also work under your own initiative.

Are you organised, flexible and motivated?

The role of Part Time Team Coordinator may be for you if so.  We are looking for an individual who will help us drive forward our charity through coordinating the administration and events of the charity.  This role is to support the staff and volunteers in the smooth running of The DPJ Foundation, by providing efficient administration, excellent customer service and a flexible approach. The role will be based in our Carmarthen Office (with occasional home working with agreement) with occasional travel across Wales, including to significant agricultural events such as the Royal Welsh Show and some team/volunteer events.

Some of the main duties will include:

  • Assisting with organisation of agricultural shows and other events
  • Liaising with volunteers to prepare the monthly rota for Share the Load and input into the shift management software.
  • Be the first point of contact for volunteer enquiries and requests, responding or allocating them as necessary.
  • Proactively engage with volunteers to share information and keep their contact details up to date.
  • Being the first point of contact for general enquiries by email, letter, telephone, social media or in person.
  • Responding to orders for merchandise via our online shop, dealing with enquiries, ordering and sending orders out.
  • Maintaining and updating our electronic filing system.
  • Maintaining and updating mailing lists and information for volunteers and clients.
  • Liaising with printers and suppliers to order merchandise, stationery and equipment.
  • Developing and maintaining a register and booking system for show equipment and co-ordinate its distribution.
  • Assisting with the collection, recording and reporting of data to monitor the work of the Charity.
  • Sourcing and booking training venues.
  • Assisting in the promotion of our training events.
  • Preparing and distributing training packs and dealing with enquiries following training.

Job Description Team Coordinator

You must be:

  • Willing to become part of the DPJ Foundation team and passionate about getting across our messages.
  • Understanding of farming life and appreciate some of the challenges this brings.
  • Passionate about improving mental health in rural communities and driven to get more people accessing help when they need it.
  • Extremely organised, but flexible and willing to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
  • A fluent Welsh speaker who can write in Welsh.
  • Able to prioritise your workload and work to meet tight deadlines.
  • Someone with excellent IT skills.
